The WKF Celebrates the Debut of Karate at the 2020 Olympic Games


A longtime resident of greater Boston, Massachusetts, Eric Rossini has supported diverse academic and professional interests in fields that range from criminal justice to business analytics. He has owned and operated the martial arts dojo Massdojo for the past 15 years. As part of his martial arts activities, Eric Rossini hold active membership in multiple organizations including the World Karate Federation.

Paying close attention to the efforts of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (TOCOG), the World Karate Federation (WKF) has praised the efforts of these organizations to lobby for karate's inclusion in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. In advance of the IOC Session of August 2016, the WKF expressed its avid hope that the organization would include karate as an additional sport at the upcoming summer Olympics. Shortly after this session, the IOC announced karate would debut at the 2020 games.
